Jarrett has been interested in real estate for as long as she can remember. When she was a kid, she would bike to open houses around the Kansas City suburb where she grew up. Looking back now, she laughs thinking about what it must have been like for an agent to have a kid show up to their open house alone.

Jarrett moved to Lawrence to attend the University of Kansas, graduated early, and started selling homes at 21. She has since owned and sold eleven properties of her own, many of which she has fixed up, and some of which have been Airbnbs. She also lived in Portland, Oregon for five years and remains a licensed principal broker there. She is the founder of Abode Realty and believes deeply in the power of real estate to change people's lives.

Jarrett was actually born in Lawrence, which is why every once in a while, a photo surfaces of her as a kid on a porch with friends in East Lawrence or Pinckney. Seeing those photos always puts a smile on her face, because she thinks about how not much has changed since then. When Jarrett is not working, she still spends her time the same way she did as a kid: going to open houses, and sitting on porches around Lawrence with friends and family. She also loves traveling, cooking, and hanging out with her four pets.
